Straw House Adventure
Here we are a few years ago just before this dream was really even talked about. Just a bunch of City Slickers, well my wife came from more of a country background. Our daughter Rosealie who is now 3 years old. My wife (Julianne) and I (Cody).
With the Dream and Goal of being debt free and living a little more down to earth, we have set out on this adventure of building our very own small StrawBale House! I am back dating this blog a little as we started building the end of June so I don't really know when to start and the Pictures and Posts will most likely be all out of order.
With our goal being Debt free we needed the Best and Cheapest foundation possible. Well this was not my idea but a family member had been planning to do this as well and they knew about a kind of foundation called Rubble Trench! Pretty simple, all you got to do is dig a 16 inch wide, 4 foot deep, trench around the perimeter of your house. Fill it with Rubble and Presto instant Foundation.
